Applications for Oban Tesco Stronger Starts
Do you have or know of a project, ideally involving young people, that could benefit from up to £1,500 in the local area?
They're looking for applications submitted by November 20th to the Jan – March. The customer vote, and money is awarded in May ‘24.
Applicants need to be a not-for-profit organisation (this includes charities, CICs (over 2 years old), community or voluntary groups) and need a constitution or some form of governing documents (for local authority applications a copy of a letter heading/school handbook cover is acceptable).
The Tesco Stronger Starts funding programme awards 3 groups quarterly after each 3 month in-store customer voting period. This is a rolling programme, where community groups or charities can apply for funding all year round. Applications are open to all local good causes, with the current priority helping projects that support children’s food security and health as well as local store nominated good causes.
Groups are awarded 1st - £1,500; 2nd - £1,000 and 3rd - £500 after the vote results are counted.
This is also a great opportunity for groups to promote the good work that they do locally.
