Green Health Week 11 - 18th May 2024

Why?

We know that connecting with nature is a great way to improve our mental and physical wellbeing. Whether its active travel, volunteering in greenspaces, or attending nature walks: there is something for everyone. With the ongoing pressures on our health and social care resources, encouraging engagement in Green health activity can bring a range of benefits to us all.

Where?

Come and see what’s happening during Green Health Week 2024: Green Health Week 2024 - Think Health Think Nature and search the hashtags #GreenHealthWeek #DailyDoseofNature #MakeSpaceForNature for lots of updates, blog posts, information, and fun.

Highland Charter for Climate Nature & Health

Look out for the re-launch of the Green Health Charter - a pledge to put climate, nature, and the benefits of green and blue health at the centre of decision-making and action, so that the natural environment and people have improved health, wellbeing, and resilience.

It builds upon the previous Climate Charter by bring together three elements - climate, nature and health, that are essential for the wellbeing of the planet and people. We’ll be sharing more about how you can sign up to the charter and get involved during Green Health Week 2024 or you’ll find out more at the charter event in Inverness!
